Rapid-Fire Sharing & Show and Tell & Networking


Rapid-Fire Sharing & Show and Tell, the annual interact session where each local coalition, tax site or collaboration presents to the group. Each coalition will select ONE person to present for 3 minutes and highlight: a) the greatest success of the 2016 season, b) summarize the greatest challenge they faced, and c) any new or innovative practice or approach they are planning for 2017.


1:30 pm – 3:00 pm     Breakout discussions Round I & II


Participants will separate into four groups for discussion and sharing on identified issues. These groups will meet for 45 minutes. There will be two rounds so that participants can attend two different breakout sessions. After the small group meetings, each group breakout session leader will share what discussed by leading the large group discussion. Breakout sessions that will meet in both rounds include: Volunteer Training; Marketing, Communications and Community Outreach; and Connecting Free Tax Prep with improving financial outcomes for clients. The breakout session on Capitol Hill Day will meet during the first round and the breakout session on Virtual and/or Alternative Service Delivery of VITA will meet during the second round.
