Developing Vibrant Communities

Developing Vibrant Communities as part of CDAD’s Community Development Week

CEDAM, in partnership with the Community Development Advocates of Detroit (CDAD), will be hosting our annual Developing Vibrant Communities conference during CDAD’s 5th annual Community Development Week! Join us virtually Wednesday, September 15. This year’s conference will focus on how community developers can (and have been) centering diversity, equity, and inclusion through policy advocacy, organizational change, and intentional programming.

Opening Keynote

CEDAM & CDAD are excited to welcome Tamika Butler as our opening keynote! Tamika L. Butler is Black, queer, and unapologetic. She is a PhD student in the Urban Planning Department at UCLA and a national expert and speaker on issues related to the built environment, equity, anti-racism, diversity and inclusion, organizational behavior, and change management. From speaking, to writing, to training, Tamika has worked with a myriad of clients. As the Principal + Founder of Tamika L. Butler Consulting, she focuses on shining a light on inequality, inequity, and social justice.
