Joseph was born and raised in Plano, TX. He attended Michigan State University, majoring in Urban and Regional Planning and Economic Geography with a minor in Law, Justice, and Public Policy. He was a member of the Social Science Scholars Program and the Honors College. During his time at MSU, Joseph was heavily involved in the undergraduate Mock Trial program; he served as both President and Captain of its A-Team, which placed 8th in the nation. Joseph also has worked for MSU’s Center for Community and Economic Development as a Research Assistant, where he contributed to a report regarding the university’s endowment investments, including their transparency and alignment with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals. Joseph spent two summers working for Dallas Area Rapid Transit in the Capital Planning Department, assisting with research into mobility hubs and micro-mobility policy. Additionally, Joseph served as an intern for Good Counsel Services, a nonprofit legal organization.
