Effie Alofoje-Carr is placed in Flint, working with 100K Ideas to expand workforce development and support small businesses. Effie has a background in public health and is passionate about supporting communities and families in maternal/child health, education and substance misuse prevention. She has more than a decade of experience in supporting nonprofits, coalition building, and community-driven initiatives. Her work focuses on strengthening organizational capacity through strategic planning, systems improvement, and leadership support, particularly for organizations serving women, families, and historically underserved communities. Effie has a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University in Humanities/Pre-Law. She is excited to support people as they transition from survival mode to stability.
