Laken is placed in Cass City. She will be working on updating Cass City’s master plan, managing the village’s downtown forestry project, and assisting with the village’s new branding rollout. Additionally, she will assist in housing development efforts and grant writing. Laken brings experience in project management and community advocacy from working with 616 Service in Grand Rapids and as a PPIA Fellow at Princeton University. She is planning to gain experience in community development and public service before attending graduate school for public policy or public affairs. Laken holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Grand Valley State University.
