In our newest capacity building program, a sister program to our Community Development Fellowship, CEDAM will place 10 AmeriCorps members who want to give back to their community and are interested in entering the community economic development industry at organizations across the state. Members will focus on activities related to implementing planning and zoning best practices, increasing community engagement, and supporting cross-collaboration at the local level.
Some member activities include:
- Supporting integration of zoning and development best practices outlined in the Redevelopment Ready Communities Toolkit
- Assessing inventory for development potential, such as reviewing available parcels and/or properties
- Supporting rehabilitation of properties in the inventory
- Understanding local incentives and resources for development
- Planning and advancing the creation of additional housing units to meet regional needs
This cohort term is 11 months and begins in November 2026.
