Show Me the Money Day is a FREE event featuring free and low-cost financial products, community resources, financial workshops, and fun. CEDAM members host events annually across Michigan from January to June to kick off tax season and promote opportunities to increase income, save and build assets.
In 2023, Show Me the Money Day events reached 1,907 Michigan residents. We estimate that 37% of attendees were from households with incomes under $30,000. Overall, 80% of surveyed participants reported feeling more hopeful about their financial future after attending Show Me the Money Day.
How can you support Show Me the Money Day?
There are several ways that your organization can show support for Show Me the Money Day. If you are interested in supporting host sites across Michigan, you can become a statewide sponsor. Your support will help CEDAM provide technical assistance, graphic and marketing materials, host site training, and mini-grants of up to $500. If you’re more interested in targeting support to your community, you can directly engage with local host sites. From offering financial support and helping plan the event to becoming a vendor or conducting a workshop, you can get involved in a spectrum of ways!
Statewide Sponsorship Benefits
By sponsoring Show Me the Money Day, your organization can support statewide coordination and assist CEDAM in providing mini-grants that help local nonprofits bring these critical events to their communities.
In recognition of statewide sponsorship, your organization will receive:
- Promotion of the sponsor’s name and logo on CEDAM’s Show Me the Money Day webpage;
- Recognition as a sponsor in Show Me the Money Day communications;
- Promotion of the sponsor’s name and logo on local event materials recognizing sponsors;
- Table space at local events where applicable; and
- Opportunity to host a workshop or training at local events where applicable.
