CEDAM has three levels of membership: Individual, Practitioner and Partner. Each level has its own set of member benefits.

Individual Benefits

You are an Individual Member if…

  • You are an individual who supports community economic development
  • You want to keep up with current industry news and network with CEDAM

Individual membership lets you:

Practitioner Benefits

You are a Practitioner Member if…

  • You are a nonprofit organization or governmental department doing community-based economic development in a Michigan neighborhood, city or county (this includes CDCs, neighborhood organizations, main street programs, social change organizations, community engagement organizations, human development organizations and more – pricing depends on budget and government/nonprofit status)
  • You want to save thousands of dollars, get better at what you do and expand your reach

Practitioner Membership lets you:

  • Learn more about community economic development topics with discounts on trainings and conferences
  • Receive more funding by receiving CEDAM’s member-only funding alert
  • Attend CEDAM webinars for FREE
  • Interact with elected officials through advocacy events in Lansing and at home
  • Have your organization, project or event featured in CEDAM’s newsletter, e-newsletters, blog and/or social media
  • Be included in and access CEDAM’s member directories
  • Kick back with a discounted admission to CEDAM’s annual membership celebration
  • Direct CEDAM through committeesvoting privileges and at-large board eligibility (CDC members may also run for regional board seats)
Partner Benefits

You are Partner Member if…

  • You are a statewide association, intermediary, university program, financial institution, for-profit developer, vendor or consultant

  • Small budget: annual operating budget $0 – $250,000
  • Medium budget: annual operating budget $250,001 – $1M
  • Large budget: annual operating budget $1,000,001+

***Government/quasi-governmental agency: Government agencies or sub-units and quasi-government entities involved in community based economic development (Downtown Development Authority, assessment districts, public housing authorities, landbanks and other entities)
