Paul is a Community Development Fellow in Flint, where he will join a variety of projects that are leveraging the city’s current successes as they work to finalize their Redevelopment Ready Communities certification.
Paul graduated from the University of Michigan’s Program in the Environment and recently received a Master of Architecture from Lawrence Tech in 2020. Before joining CEDAM, he worked as a Food Systems Designer and Communications Manager for Blue Sky Center in New Cuyama, CA, increasing the capacity of resident-driven food security programs and formalizing the Cuyama Valley Food Action Network to address several community development opportunities outlined in the Cuyama Valley Community Action Plan. He also spent two months this summer at Detroit Future City creating a community engagement framework for the Detroit Neighborhood Housing Compact.
Paul’s experiences with mission-driven, place-based organizations led him to pursue this fellowship at CEDAM and he is looking forward to refining his planning and development skill set alongside his new neighbors in Flint!
