Meghan Kuhr, Communications Intern
As one of CEDAM’s communication interns, Meghan ensures CEDAM has a thoughtfully crafted brand strategy that highlights the organization’s vision, mission and current efforts. She does this by curating social media posts, by producing graphics and other multimedia content and by elaborating on CEDAM’s overarching message as a nonprofit focused on community economic development.
She has experience in journalistic writing at her past internship with Newsweek, where she wrote, edited and published articles about trending topics optimized for the Internet to increase web traffic and reader consumption. She’s also written articles for Greater Lansing Business monthly and Michigan State University’s student-run lifestyle magazine, VIM, in addition to blog content. Through her studies of professional writing and public relations at Michigan State University, her positions as a magazine editor for the Red Cedar Undergraduate Journal and as a consultant at the Writing Center, she has learned to effectively direct content in an engaging manner.
