Emily Reyst, Director of Communications & Training

 

As CEDAM’s director of communications & training, Emily ensures CEDAM and its members build influence around community economic development issues in Michigan. She engages with our members by providing members with policy and program updates; promoting their projects and accomplishments; developing capacity-building tools like trainings, webinars and other materials; and implementing trainings and conferences.

Prior to joining CEDAM, Emily managed the communications team at the Women’s Center of Greater Lansing, an organization whose mission is to help women find economic self-sufficiency. She now sits on the Center’s board of directors.

She has experience in nonprofit fundraising, public relations, graphic design, social media management, copywriting & editing, recruiting, human resources and behavioral interviewing through her time at the Women’s Center of Greater LansingMatter of Form, the Broad College of Business and Michigan State University RHS. Emily received her Bachelor of Arts in professional writing from Michigan State University.
