Leila is a multifaceted entrepreneur and real estate investment professional who is passionate about community development. She immigrated to Southwest Michigan 27 years ago, where she still resides. She has a BBA in Finance from Western Michigan University and a Master of Science in Real Estate from Roosevelt University.

She began her real estate career as a licensed agent in Michigan more than 20 years ago, and has since been involved in multiple dimensions of the industry—as an investor, landlord, and small-scale redeveloper alongside other business ventures. Leila has more recently served as a consultant to investors abroad, seeking to invest in U.S. real estate projects located in targeted employment areas through the EB‑5 investor program.
