Angela Benifield leads as Assistant Director of Projects at Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency, a major non-profit organization in Metro Detroit. Angela currently leads and collaborates in various workgroups and committees to ensure integration of services are delivered throughout the organization and partnerships.

Throughout her 13 year tenure at Wayne Metro, Angela has played a vital role in expanding financial services into an integrated services delivery model that provides education, individualized coaching services, financial asset services and credit rebuilding services to over 3,000 Wayne County residents each year. 

Angela has over 20 years of experience as a financial professional with roles including banking professional at three major financial institutions, mortgage loan officer, Financial Coach, and Financial Empowerment Services Manager.  

Prior to embarking into the financial industry, Angela successfully owned and operated a sewing/design business for over 23 years.  

Angela is married with three adult children and a grandson.  She loves home decorating, serving others, and gardening. She earned her Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resource Management from Capella University.
