Betty Gueye, Junior Policy Associate
Betty Gueye is a student at Michigan State University studying in the James Madison College. As CEDAM’s new junior policy associate, Betty will assist CEDAM with project management and advocacy at the state and federal level.
Betty has a background in community organization. She has been a training and mentorship committee leader by organizing and coordinating workshops across the U.S. for a foundation, fundraising events and creating a database. She has also been interning with a community immigration nonprofit organization where she has gained experienced applying for funds, communicating with various organizations and elected officials, interpreting to French, Wolof and English and doing administrative work. She is currently a Marketing Event Coordinator at an MSU organization for women empowerment. Additionally, she has been a French teacher’s assistant at MSU for several years and has worked with the college’s Residential & Hospitality Services for more than three years.
