In June 2023, Governor Gretchen Whitmer established the Growing Michigan Together Council to develop a long-term vision that addresses Michigan’s current and future challenges and sets up Michigan for success in the 21st Century. 

Last week, Governor Whitmer announced the workgroup selections for the Council and we are thrilled to announce that Melvin Henley, Policy Manager at CEDAM, was appointed to the Infrastructure & Place workgroup.

The Council will advise the Governor on policies that will help grow Michigan’s population, improve educational outcomes, create attainable housing, and modernize our state’s infrastructure.
