Leadership 101 is a program designed to develop youth to become leaders within their community. These youths attend weekly workshops to develop skills in teamwork, organizing, and professional development. The program also offers SAT prep classes, scholarship writing workshops, and tutoring for youth that have a 2.5 grade point average or below. The program’s goal is to have the youth practice the skills they have learned by organizing and implementing projects based on their chosen areas/issues. Lastly, youth will be provided the opportunity to be mentored and to job shadow adults in the career path they select. Youth participating in the program will also receive a small stipend every month.”
