Strengthening Resilient Communities | The National Forum

Developing Vibrant Communities as part of Strengthening Resilient Communities | The National Forum

Instead of hosting CDAD and CEDAM’s annual Developing Vibrant Communities (DVC) conference in-person in Detroit this year, we’re partnering with the National Alliance of Community Economic Development Associations (NACEDA) to host DVC as a virtual—and national—event!

In addition to robust Michigan programming and top national speakers, you will have the opportunity to participate in events organized by our partners from Oregon, Ohio, Illinois, Texas, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Massachusetts and NACEDA by opting for an all-access pass

Learn from community development leaders working in your own backyard and across the country to discuss how community developers are recovering, advocating for their communities, and fighting for an equitable future

Registration is open! Each person from your organization that wants to attend will need to register individually. You will be able to access conference information with your individual login information. View the draft agenda for Michigan’s programming or preview the full National Forum

Thank you to our generous sponsors:

Gene Kuthy Award

To honor the late Gene Kuthy’s legacy, each year CEDAM awards a person who embodies Gene’s positive and unique attributes: fun, larger than life, generous, an incredible networker, a champion of a particular program and more. The Award is typically presented at the Developing Vibrant Communities (DVC) conference and $2,500 will be given to the organization for which the recipient serves.

Eligibility requirements: The nominee must be a current or former board member of a current CEDAM member.

Update: The 2020 Gene Kuthy application is now closed. While there will be no in-person award ceremony at our conference this year, CEDAM plans to honor the 2020 award winner during our virtual event.
