CEDAM’s AmeriCorps VISTA program
We need you to help fight poverty in your community! CEDAM is currently recruiting members for our AmeriCorps VISTA program, and we need 8 members to serve at organizations around the state.
CEDAM’s AmeriCorps VISTA program members provide capacity building to organizations by expanding on existing programming or creating a new program from the ground up. While specific tasks vary by host site, VISTA members expand the reach of their host organization through resource generation, volunteer generation, program development and other sustainable practices.
In addition, all members will benefit from professional development training and networking opportunities during their service terms. Members will attend four in-person trainings in Lansing. AmeriCorps members will also attend two AmeriCorps networking events-one large scale service project and a one-day conference during which they will have the opportunity to network with and get to know other AmeriCorps members in Michigan.
Members in the VISTA program commit to a year-long, full-time position with a host organization.
