CEDAM’s AmeriCorps State program
Help fight poverty in your area by becoming an AmeriCorps State member! CEDAM’s AmeriCorps State program is currently recruiting for 10 full-time and three (3) part-time positions at organizations around the state.
CEDAM’s AmeriCorps State program focuses on creating financial stability within communities. AmeriCorps State members do this by increasing the capacity of financial education programming within their host sites. Members facilitate financial education classes, host events that promote free financial services, build capacity within Volunteer Free Tax Assistance (VITA) sites and provide one-on-one financial stability services.
Each member will focus on building programming that benefits their individual communities and will receive day-to-day supervision by staff at their individual locations. In addition, all members will benefit from professional development training and networking opportunities during their service terms. Members will attend four in-person trainings in Lansing. AmeriCorps members will also attend two AmeriCorps networking events-one large scale service project and a one-day conference during which they will have the opportunity to network with and get to know other AmeriCorps members in Michigan.
