What is the history/purpose of your organization, in one sentence?
The Saginaw Oakland Commercial Association, which was formerly known as the Westside Commercial Association, is the representative body of both businesses and neighborhoods that border the commercial district from the Point to Pennsylvania Avenue, Maple Street to the north and Shiawassee Street to the south.
What do you do at your organization?
I sit on the Board of Directors as an at-large member, as well as co-chair the Promotions Committee.
Is there anything special we should know about you or your organization?
We are proud to have broken ground for an art project at the Point, a section of land where Saginaw and Oakland Avenues come together, and making this a center piece on people’s entrance to Lansing and being part of the Greater Lansing River Trail.
