Lansing, MI – The Community Economic Development Association of Michigan (CEDAM) is pleased to announce its 2018-19 executive committee board members Glenn Wilson (president), Kirsten Elliott (vice president), Al Martin (treasurer) and Dennis West (secretary). Elliott and Martin are new to the executive committee, while Wilson returns as president and West returns as secretary.
“I could not be more proud of our full board of directors and executive committee members’ dedication to CEDAM’s mission and their experience in the community economic development field,” said Jamie Schriner, executive director of CEDAM. “Each member brings unique qualifications and perspectives to the table to better help us serve Michigan’s diverse communities; we are honored to be led by the group.”
Wilson is the president and CEO of Communities First Inc. in Flint, representing Region 5. Elliott is the VP of Development at Community Housing Network in Troy, representing Region 5. West is the president of Northern Initiatives in Marquette, representing Region 1. Martin is the executive director of the Hart House Bed & Breakfast and is an at-large board member.
“The importance of CEDAM’s mission cannot be overstated,” said Martin. “There are many organizations across the state that are working hard to improve communities and the quality of life for Michigan residents. CEDAM is at the heart of it all; coordinating efforts, facilitating important discussions and supporting the work of individual organizations in a way that amplifies impact. I am proud to be a board member of CEDAM and to lend my experience and time to further CEDAM’s goals and mission.”
